Present and future of crypto-assets, legal aspects

L’AEDBF-Belgium proposes a half day conference to dive into the latest legal developments on crypto assets.

This conference consists of two parts:

Part 1 – Lunch conference: Crypto-assets: recent developments
(this is the Spring session of the Conference cycle Les 4 saisons de l’AEDBF éd 2022-23)

12.00 – 12.30: Registration of participants and lunch

12.30 – 13.40: Introduction on the theme of the day by:

• Hubert de Vauplane, avocat Kramer Levin, professeur Sciences Po Paris : Une introduction sur MiCA : proposition de Règlement européen sur les marchés de crypto-actifs (contribution in FR)
• Antoine Greindl, conseiller à la FSMA : La communication FSMA 2022-25 « sur la qualification de crypto-actifs en tant que valeurs mobilières, instruments de placement ou instruments financiers » et  le nouveau règlement FSMA « subordonnant à des conditions restrictives la commercialisation des monnaies auprès des consommateurs » (contribution in FR)

Part 2 – Afternoon conference: Present and future of crypto assets, legal aspects

• 4.35 to 5.10 pm : CBDC or Central Bank Digital Currency by Reinout Temmerman, Payments Advisor and Prudential Supervisor PI & EMIs (contribution in EN)
• 5.10 to 5.30 pm : Q&A and conclusions by the President
